Our main goal was to design and implement a software and hardware infrastructure enabling us to run multiple interactive applications on our facade using different types of devices for interaction. This paper presents a modular software architecture to interact with media facades.
Furthermore the paper will explain the hardware infrastructure of the facade. After that the modular software architecture is described. In order to prove the functionality of the system with the developed software we implemented and tested different example applications.

We propose Magemite, a fine-grained input system that exploits the around device space (ADS) as an expansion of the limited input area. The key insight underlying Magemite is, magnetic sensor…
Cellular Automata represent a formal frame for dynamical systems which evolve on the base of local interactions. We here present first results of the CUDA parallelization of the SCIDDICA S3-hex…
In many real-world applications, data are represented by matrices or high-order tensors. Despite the promising performance, the existing 2-D discriminant analysis algorithms employ a single projection model to exploit the…
This paper focuses on distinguishing obstacles from free regions towards navigation of the visually challenged. This is an important and challenging research problem due to the unconstrained navigating environment containing…
Discrete multitone transmission (DMT) is a useful approach to cope with the dispersive nature of VLC indoor channels. In such environments, the dispersion occurs either due to the LED in…
Design for high-speed and high-extinction ratio electroabsorption modulator (EAM) has been presented and reviewed. Based on waveguide structure, reducing both parasitic capacitance and cladding impedance can enhance the microwave performance…
Here we report on organic light-emitting diodes incorporating two porphyrin compounds exhibiting red to near infra-red (IR) emission. Especially, the compound with the long side groups (porphyrin II) has a…
This work suggests a new form of dual-band patch antenna for radio frequency identification applications (RFID) in the UHF band and the microwave band. A micro strip line whose power…
The asymptotical synchronization problem is investigated for two identical chaotic Lur'e systems with time delays. The sampled-data control method is employed for the system design. A new synchronization condition is…
