In this paper, we describe a web-based service that visualizes sensing data in an urban public space. The sensing data obtained from multiple sensor devices are visualized with three-dimensional graphical models of physical objects (e.g., buildings) in the space to provide a single integrated view of the sensing status in a web browser window.
The view is continuously updated based on the latest sensing data so as to show the current status in the space. As the view is rendered by the application that runs within a web browser, the status can be seen from different points of view interactively. We present a service that visualizes human activities, such as pedestrian flows and environmental sounds, based on sensor devices installed in a public space at a shopping center in Tokyo.

Requirement prioritization is a process that allows selection of the “key” candidate requirements, the ones that are the most important for the construction of quality and cost-controlled software. Requirement prioritization…
Transistor lasers (TLs) with n-doped quantum wells (QWs), which own low threshold current, are reported in this paper. The exposed side walls of QWs introduce amounts of recombination centers, which…
Novelty detection models aim to find the minimum volume set covering a given probability mass. This paper proposes a robust single-class support vector machine (SSVM) for novelty detection, which is…
This paper reports a 325-km ultra-long span repeater-less transmission system in a 17×10 Gbit/s optical transmission system by using different amplification schemes. We demonstrate two different amplification schemes which combine…

In the operational optimization and scheduling problems of actual industrial processes, such as iron and steel, and microelectronics, the operational indices and process parameters usually need to be predicted. However,…
Full length Pseudo Random Noise (PRN) sequences are widely used in CDMA communication. The full length sequence number is not easily divisible. So it is not easy to generate a…
