Our main goal was to design and implement a software and hardware infrastructure enabling us to run multiple interactive applications on our facade using different types of devices for interaction. This paper presents a modular software architecture to interact with media facades.
Furthermore the paper will explain the hardware infrastructure of the facade. After that the modular software architecture is described. In order to prove the functionality of the system with the developed software we implemented and tested different example applications.

The regularized kernel method for the ranking problem has attracted increasing attentions in machine learning. The previous regularized ranking algorithms are usually based on reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces with a…
Cellular Automata represent a formal frame for dynamical systems which evolve on the base of local interactions. We here present first results of the CUDA parallelization of the SCIDDICA S3-hex…
As technology develops, more human-made devices are able to make use of Internet to communicate with each other, thus enabling the Internet of Things (IoT) era to emerge. The amount…
This paper focuses on distinguishing obstacles from free regions towards navigation of the visually challenged. This is an important and challenging research problem due to the unconstrained navigating environment containing…
We present a framework for the identification of spatiotemporal linear dynamical systems. We use a state-space model representation that has the following attributes: 1) the number of spatial observation locations…
Discrete multitone transmission (DMT) is a useful approach to cope with the dispersive nature of VLC indoor channels. In such environments, the dispersion occurs either due to the LED in…
A recently introduced latent feature learning technique for time-varying dynamic phenomena analysis is the so-called slow feature analysis (SFA). SFA is a deterministic component analysis technique for multidimensional sequences that,…
Here we report on organic light-emitting diodes incorporating two porphyrin compounds exhibiting red to near infra-red (IR) emission. Especially, the compound with the long side groups (porphyrin II) has a…
The transistor laser is a relatively new device that is based on the homogeneous integration of a heterojunction bipolar transistor with a laser diode. As such it offers very unique…
